Who makes the offer decision at Interview?
The employer. The employer is always present and makes the final decisions. Success Moves hosts the interview event.

There is a separate section of this website titled ‘Interview Questions’ The most important advice is to answer truthfully. Answering what you think the interview wants to hear will be spotted easier than you think.
Will there be any numerical or verbal psychometric tests?
No, we do not use any type of written or online psychometric testing. We prefer to give you the chance to demonstrate and prove your skills in person.
How many candidates am I competing with on the Interview Process Day?
It varies depending on how many positions the client employer has available.
What is the dress code?
Smart business attire. Suit and ties for gentleman, the equivalent for ladies. First impressions count.
Do I have to pay anything?
Only travel expenses and your own lunch. Bottled water will be provided and there is no charge for anything else. There will be nothing available for purchase from Success Moves Consultancy or our client (the employing company). We never represent employers that charge for training or for that matter anything else.
When will I know if I got the job or not?
You will find this out on the interview process day itself. On rare occasions if this varies, this will be highlighted in both the advertisement and invitation letter.
Can you tell me the company name?
Usually yes, but sometimes a client asks us to keep it confidential for the following reasons.
1. Even when we ask people not to, some candidates will pester the employing company directly, to try and gain advantage. This wastes their time and in the past we have received complaints.
2. Recruitment agencies and other suppliers also detect this information from advertisements and use it as sales leads to pester the company.
3. Companies often want their recruitment activity to be confidential from competitors and/or internal staff.
4. Candidates who are not selected may take negative actions and slander the client company.
The employer will always be present on the day. If you have any companies you specifically do not wish to be interviewed by please advise us.
The employer will be there in person on the day, present all of your questions and answer all questions openly including confidential information about the company’s plans, new products etc. The advertisement will cover the main details about the job role and prospects. The onus is on you to satisfy yourself about the company being right for you. Remember, whereas you have to sell yourself to them, the employing company equally have to sell themselves to you.
I cannot make the interview date can I make an alternative appointment?
If it is a date when we are interviewing all applicants on the same day no. We interview all applicants on the day, and encourage clients to make decisions on the day so that everyone knows where they stand. Thus, we cannot ask everyone to reschedule and the venue to fit around the needs of an individual. Some of our high growth clients do have repeat events at later dates. Of course we also for clients have individual interviews which are firstly telephone interviews.
I am still at University/College can I do an interview now for a start date when I graduate?
No, unless your course is about to finish very soon (i.e. within one month).

Please also refer to the original advertisement you applied for which contains the details. It will also be attached to the email thread with the interview invitation letter. Full details will be given to you on the company, its culture, styler, personalites etc when you arrive for interview.

No, because both you and the employer need to meet each other in person and be judged fairly relative to other applicants on the day. We sometimes do first filtering interviews this way and you will have been informed of this.

No, unless this is specifically mentioned in the advertisement. Companies tend to do this for specific people they have approached.
Do you provide lunch?
No, but we only choose event venues where there is a multiple choice of eating options available.
Why is the event held in a hotel?
We want to interview everyone on the same day for several reasons, one of which is that candidates can have a decision on the same day. Another is that the employer can see everyone on the same day. Hotels also are used to catering for handicapped or other special need applicants. Some of our clients have facilities to accomplish this in their premises. If this is the case it will be on the invitation to interview letter.
