Review of Hotel Interview Process Day:
(Our Interview Process Days are also held on Zoom)
Whether it is the type of interview questions to expect, what to prepare for or how to do your best, all this and more are answered in this section of the website. All aimed to help you be your best on the day.
For our Interview Process Day (IP day) we always use a high quality venue with facilities for food, drink and parking; further details on the current venue and travel directions can be found on the home page. There will be free bottled water provided for you by us. Other refreshments like tea and coffee will be available for purchase from the venue facilities. We do not pay travel expenses to the interview venue. We have negotiated special rates for use of the hotel car park for candidates attending an IP day, details of which will be covered on the invitation email. For the time you should arrive refer to your invitation to interview email. Make sure you arrive smartly dressed with a positive attitude.
You must bring with you one proof of identity (passport or driving licence), a printed CV and two references.
For absolute clarity our policy is that there is nothing to purchase from Success Moves Sales. We make our income entirely from client companies employing our services.
All of our clients are planning high growth; at Success Moves Sales we help them recruit quality staff mainly through our Interview Process Day. We often provide training, coaching and consultancy to our clients, as well as talent sourcing services. Depending on the contract with the client we usually have training and sometimes coaching included for the successful candidates, paid for by the client company.
We have the policy to encourage clients to make job offers or rejections on the same day, so everybody is clear where they stand. If this is not the case it will state clearly in the advertisements. (This usually only occurs for senior appointments or when the positions are abroad.) The day will start with you being given full details of of the market, company, position, remuneration, career prospects, training, hours of work, holidays, growth plans, current team etc. Much of what is represented will be of a confidential manner and thus not included in the advertisement.
The most common question we receive is always, what interview questions can I expect?
You will be given all the above information on the company before you have to answer any questions. Questions will ascertain your sales skills or potential relative to the position on offer, but will more focus on your goals and ambitions. Someone with clear goals and ambition with a determination to achieve it will always do well at interview.
Typical interview questions do vary according to the specific client needs recruited for, however you can view ‘some of our interview questions’ on this site. Do not try to think of what the interviewer wants to hear, i.e. the ‘right answer’. Interviewers are senior sales or general management executives with considerable experience of reading body language, so our advice is simple, just be yourself and answer truthfully! Honesty is the top trait of any respectable sales professional. We encourage our clients to offer an immediate start date where possible.
We commit to our promises and quality standards and ask you to sign our terms and respect other candidates on interview on the day. Once again all you need to bring is on the day is, one form of identity, such as a passport or driving licence, and contact details of two referees, one business and one personal.
Most people to some extent experience interview nerves. Please see our article on this with four simple techniques to boost interview confidence. Actually many interviewers see nerves as a positive thing as it means the person is taking the process very seriously.
